Ascension Day Thurs, May 9: Thursday evening at 7:30pm we will be having our annual service remembering the ascension of our Lord and Saviour into heaven. The service will be led by Pastor Bart Eisen. Please join us for this important day.

Club Update
Litany:
Leader: This year’s Cadet theme is “Rooted and Grounded”, based on Ephesians 3:17-18. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. We as Cadets are committed to being rooted and grounded in our faith in God. In the following litany, we will look at our foundation in Christ and the extent of His love for us.
Cadets: We need to have Christ as our basis for living.
Congregation: Blessed is the one . . . whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law, day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)
Cadets: Good roots will allow us to grow strong and prosper.
Congregation: That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers. (Psalm 1:3)
Cadets: We need to allow the love of Christ to become our foundation.
Congregation: Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Matthew 7:24)
Cadets: Trusting in God’s love will give us strength.
Congregation: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18)
Cadets: God’s love is wide enough to cover everyone in the world.
Congregation: There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)
Cadets: God’s love is so long it has no beginning or end.
Congregation: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1)
Cadets: The extent of God’s love has no limit.
Congregation: For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; (Psalm 103:11)
Cadets: No matter how low we may feel, God is still there with us.
Congregation: If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. (Psalm 139:8)
Leader: As our theme verse was Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians, may it also be our prayer for the Cadets.
